Etizolam

Etizolam is an anti-anxiety tablet that belongs to a group of medications in the thienodiazepine ( benzodiazepine analogue) category. This means that it is like a benzodiazepine, however, the benzene ring has been replaced by a thiophene ring and the triazole ring has been fused. Simply put, this medication is chemically slightly different but works in the same way as many other popular benzodiazepines, such as Diazepam.

Etizolam is becoming an increasingly common medication people are ordering. It was initially patented in 1972 and was first approved for medical use in 1983. In addition to its anti-anxiety properties, it also contains amnesic, anticonvulsant, sedative, and muscle relaxant properties. It is often recommended due to how strong it is compared to other benzodiazepines, while having a lower rate of tolerance and dependence.

This medication is most well known under the brand name Etilaam, which is manufactured by Intas Pharmaceuticals, who are present in more than 85 countries worldwide. Unfortunately, it is not easy to locate, and is not available on prescription, hence why more and more people are choosing to buy Etizolam online.

What is Etizolam Used for?

Etizolam uses can be varied due to the different properties that it possesses, such as a treatment for seizures. However, it is mainly prescribed for two distinct conditions. One use is Etizolam for anxiety disorders, and the other is Etizolam for sleep problems. When used for sleep problems, such as insomnia , Etizolam tablets can be highly effective.

Insomnia is where someone finds it difficult to sleep, wakes up often in the night or wakes too early and is unable to get back to sleep. It has been found that Etizolam is effective in treating all these scenarios. Insomnia, however, is not just one condition, in so far as it can be split into two distinct types - chronic insomnia and acute insomnia.

Chronic insomnia, also known as long-term insomnia, is when someone has issues with sleep more than three times per week, for a period of three months or more. It can be a constant issue in someone's life or can occasionally go away and return at a later date. It can also be classed as primary or secondary insomnia. Primary insomnia is when the sleeping problems are not linked to any specific medical condition. Secondary insomnia is when the issue is caused by an existing condition and is more common.

Common causes for chronic insomnia are:

  • Physical health conditions such as diabetes, hyperthyroidism, and sleep apnoea.
  • Mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety.
  • Medications such as anti-depressants and beta-blockers.

Acute insomnia, also known as short-term insomnia, is insomnia that lasts for anything less than three months, usually something between a few days to a few weeks. It can also be known as adjustment insomnia, as it often occurs when we are adjusting to a new life scenario, such as a new bed, a temporary illness or stress caused by events outside of our control.

Etizolam 1 mg is also prescribed for anxiety disorders. Anxiety is a feeling of unease or fear that can occur under many different circumstances. Some of the symptoms of anxiety can be:

  • Feeling nervous and tense
  • Having an impending sense of doom
  • Increased heart rate
  • Sweating
  • Increased rate of breathing

These anxiety symptoms remain similar regardless of the specific disorder that you have. There are several disorders that you can be diagnosed with, depending on the circumstances in which the anxiety becomes apparent. Some of the more commonly diagnosed ones are:

  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) - this disorder is where the anxiety is often present, regardless of the situation. It can often mean that ordinary situations can be much more difficult to handle.
  • Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) - this disorder is where you experience fear or anxiety triggered by social situations.
  • Panic Disorder - this disorder is characterised by frequent and sudden panic attacks that are impossible to predict. They can often occur with only a minute or so warning and can have no obvious cause.
  • Phobias - these are overwhelming and irrational fears of an object, place, scenario or feeling. Some common phobias are fear of being in a situation where it is difficult to escape, which is called agoraphobia, and arachnophobia, which is a fear of spiders.
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) - this disorder occurs after a traumatic event that is difficult to process. It is characterised by nightmares or flashbacks when experiencing a trigger to re-live that situation. It results in increased fear and anxiety as a result of these flashbacks.
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) - this disorder is when someone feels the need to repeat certain rituals, which they believe will help to prevent a bad situation from occurring or has repeated intrusive thoughts or urges.

How Etizolam Works

Although it is a thienodiazepine and not a benzodiazepine, Etizolam effects are the same as medications in the benzodiazepine group. The way these medications work is by changing the pathway in the brain. Namely, once the medication is metabolized, they alter a protein in the brain cells called gamma amino butyric acid (GABA)-A receptors.

These receptors are responsible for binding to neurotransmitter in the central nervous system called GABA. By altering these receptors and making them more efficient, it increases the effectiveness of GABA once they bind together. This then produces a calming effect on the central nervous system and brain. From this, anti-anxiety, hypnotic, and muscle relaxant effects are produced, which help to treat anxiety, insomnia and seizures.

How Long Etizolam Lasts

After taking Etizolam tablets, you should expect for the effects to start to be noticeable around 30-60 minutes after consumption. These effects can generally then last for roughly 6-8 hours, although this depends on the dosage that is taken, as higher doses can last for longer amounts of time. Additionally, sometimes users report after effects from taking this medication, such as next-day drowsiness. These after-effects have been reported to last between 1-5 hours once effects start to wear off.

Half-life is how long it takes for the body to get rid of half of the medication in your system. Etizolam half-life is generally considering to be between 3.5 to 7 hours. Of course, these figures are dependent on how quickly you metabolise medications. Some people metabolise medications more quickly than others, meaning that they need a higher dose to feel the effects. Likewise, some people metabolise them more slowly.

There are several factors that can determine how quickly a medication is metabolised in the body:

  • Genetic factors - people in the CYP450 gene group generally metabolise drugs quicker.
  • Health conditions - those with health conditions such as liver disease may metabolise drugs more slowly, especially ones that are broken down in the liver. Likewise for the kidneys and heart.
  • Food - some medications work better when taken alongside a meal, as they can bind to the fats in the food. Others will result in the medication having a lesser effect, or a slower onset.
  • Age - as we age, how quickly we can process drugs in the body changes. Generally, the older we get, the slower we metabolise medications.

Etizolam Dosage for Anxiety

Just like any medication, when considering what Etizolam dosage you should take, you should consider the condition that it is effective in treating. If you are taking Etizolam for anxiety disorders such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder, you should take this medication spaced evenly throughout the day, to affect the underlying anxiety that is present.

Similarly, as panic attacks are impossible to predict, this medication should be taken regularly for Panic Disorder too. For anxiety disorders such as Social Anxiety Disorder, this medication should be taken 30-60 minutes prior to the social occasion, to best allow it to treat the triggering situation. This medication can also be taken for insomnia. If you are taking Etizolam for sleep disorders, you should take one tablet, around 30-60 minutes prior to bedtime.

Regardless of the condition that you are taking this anti-anxiety medication for, it should be swallowed whole, with water. It should not be taken alongside a heavy or high fat meal, as this can affect how well Etizolam works. It is not recommended for more than 3 mg of this medication to be taken per day.

The most commonly available dose is Etizolam 1 mg. If you do not require this strength of medication, you can split the tablets into quarters or halves, which will not only allow you to reduce feeling any side effects, but also will make your doses last for longer before you must buy Etizolam pellets again. It is important not to take any more than the recommended dose of this medication, as it can increase the risk of side effects and could be potentially dangerous.

Etizolam Side Effects

Like any medication, Etizolam tablets can have side effects, although these are generally considered to be rare and mild. Generally, this medication is reported to be 'well tolerated with little side effects'. It is still important however, that before you source any Etizolam, you read a full list of side effects. We will list here some of the more common side effects of Etizolam:

  • A decrease in energy
  • Headaches
  • A dry mouth
  • A bitter or metallic taste in the mouth

On extremely rare occasions, some people have experienced an allergic reaction to this medication. If that occurs, you must seek immediate medical attention.

Is Etizolam Safe for Long Term Use?

The reason people look to buy benzodiazepines , is that these medications are more rapidly eliminated from the body, and so a tolerance is less likely to build. Further to this, there is currently some evidence that Etizolam 1 mg is less likely than traditional benzodiazepines to build a tolerance, which may make it a better choice for long term use. However, if this medication is used consistently and regularly over a period of weeks, it is highly likely that tolerance will start to rise.

To combat this, we recommend that you take the lowest dose that you need to treat your anxiety or insomnia. Furthermore, it is recommended that you take this medication on alternate days with a weaker, alternative medication, such as an antihistamine, to further prevent tolerance and dependence from building.

It is not currently recommended that Etizolam is taken for more than 12 weeks. If you are struggling with anxiety or insomnia and still feel that you need to take this medication beyond then, it should be gradually tapered off, to reduce the risk of withdrawal effects. This should be done in conjunction with the advice of a medical professional.

Etizolam 1 mg vs Xanax

When considering taking a new medication, people often wish to compare it to a medication that they already have experience of, to determine which one they should take. In this situation, we often have people ask us the better medication between Etizolam 1 mg and Xanax.

The truth is, these are two completely different medications, and one may work better for one person, while the other will work better for a different person. They are both powerful, and each are considering to be roughly ten times more effective than a typical benzodiazepine. One major difference is that Xanax is generally more easily available, whereas it is more difficult to buy Etizolam, hence why people source it online.

Before You Buy Etizolam Online

It is important before you buy Etizolam online, that you try alternative methods of treating your anxiety or insomnia. Some effective ways of reducing the symptoms of these conditions without having to buy anxiety medication online are:

  • Exercise
  • Meditation
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

We advise trying one of the above methods first before taking Etizolam tablets.
